The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) announced on Monday, 20thMarch, 2017 its intention to invest approximately US$15bn in the development and building of gas-based power plants in Nigeria to generate extra 4,000MW over the next decade.
NNPC noted that the independent power plants are to be built in conjunction with its Joint Venture Partners, international power companies and interested Nigerian investors over the next three years and same would be structured after the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas business model.
