The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta is reported to have stated that Nigeria needs over 120,000 kilometers (km) of fibre networks interconnected across the Country to boost broadband connectivity. He however disclosed that currently there is only 38,000km.
