A community from Ikebiri, Niger Delta area of Nigeria has instituted an action against Eni seeking the sum of euro;2,000,000 (Two Million Euros) in damages as compensation for the injuries caused to the community by the explosion of Enis oil pipelines in 2010 as well as praying for a commitment from Eni to clean up areas of the community (about 43 acres) affected by the damages arising from the explosion.
