LITIGATION, FUNDING DELAY AJAOKUTA PLANTS REVAMP

The Federal Government has disclosed that the sum of $1.2 billion was required to restore the Ajaokuta Company into operations as at 2010. It states that the lack of funding and perennial litigation are the major issues delaying the rehabilitation and completion of the Ajaokuta Steel Company. It was further stated that by April 2018, the 55 mw electricity plant installed in the complex would be operational.
