There seems to be an ongoing dispute between the House of Representatives and the Senate in respect of the bill for amendment of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Act (“the Act”). This is premised on the fact that despite the House of Representative’s submission of the amended Act to the Senate over two week ago for the latter’s concurrence or confirmation; the Senate is yet to acknowledge receipt of the bill from the lower chamber. The Senate through the Senate Committee on Gas has maintained that it is yet to receive the bill for amendment and as such cannot give a position on the said bill.
