Eland Oil and Gas (the Company) stated that following the recommencement of production in January 2017, OML 40 has so far produced over 330,000 barrels of oil, from the Opuama-3 well only.
The Company plans to commence the workover and side-track of Opuama-7 by the end of the first half of 2017 whilst the workover of Gbetiokun 1 is envisaged to commence by the second half of 2017. It is expected that these workovers will add additional 6,000 and 7,800 bopd respectively to OML 40 production.
