ARBITRARY TAXES RESPONSIBLE FOR POOR QUALITY OF TELECOMS SERVICES

ARBITRARY TAXES RESPONSIBLE FOR POOR QUALITY OF TELECOMS SERVICES
May 7, 2018 Advocaat Law Practice

The National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMMS) has attributed the poor quality of service provided by telecommunications operators in Nigeria to the arbitrary taxes and levies imposed on telecommunication companies by the different levels of government and the shutting down of their towers and facilities for not paying those taxes. NATCOMMS therefore urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to reconstitute Telecom Industry Working Group (TIWG) to assist in addressing the problem through visits to states where the problem is prevalent.
