The Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission has issued a new order on the capping of estimated bills in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry. The new order provides that consumers are not to be invoiced beyond the stipulated cap in the order. This order takes effect from the 20th of February, 2020, repeals the Estimated Billing Methodology Regulation and provides that all tariff class A1 consumers are to be metered by the Distribution companies by 30th April, 2020.
