The Nigeria Communications Commission has been directed by the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami to update the sim card registration policy by requesting all registered sim card holders to update their registration by including their National Identity Number (NIN) and for expatriates living in Nigeria their passport and Visas will be used. Any sim not updated after 1st December, 2020, will be blocked. In addition, an individual in Nigeria will henceforth only be allowed ownership of a maximum of 3 sim cards.
