The ongoing negotiations between Exxon officials in Nigeria and the oil sectors labor union in respect of the unlawful termination of 83 unionized workers in December has fallen apart as parties have failed to reach a mutually agreeable position. In light of the foregoing, members of the union have begun to withdraw their services and this may automatically translate to oil production loss. The members of the union are maintaining their stance of financial re-compensation or reinstatement of their dismissed members.
