The Department of Petroleum Resources, Nigerias regulatory agency for the petroleum industry, is awaiting directives from the President and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources to commence the process of conducting a bid round of some of the countrys 178 flare gas sites.
It will be the first major implementation of the new legal framework on flared gas reduction, signed by the President in July and gazetted in early September 2018.
