Advocaat has been appointed to advise IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) an arm of the United Nations on the appropriate contractual structure for the provision of consultancy services to an International Oil Company (IOC) on the remediation of the environment in oil producing areas of the Niger delta in Nigeria.The services being rendered by the Energy and Natural Resources group include but is not limited to advising on contractual structure under a services purchase contract, compliance with the local content laws in Nigeria and the enforcement of contracts under Nigerian law.
