Advocaat holds its inaugural discourse

On Thursday 29th of September 2016, Advocaat Law Practice held it’s inaugural discourse themed “LET’S TALK ABOUT GAS”. The discourse featured two sessions moderated by Mr. Dapo Otunla, the General Counsel for Notore Chemical Industries Plc. The firm had presentations form Mr. Phillip Mshelbila, G.M. Shell, Gas and Gbite Adeniji the Senior Technical Assistant on Gas to the Minister of State for Petroleum. The papers were titled “Developing  a domestic gas market” and “Developing a domestic gas market- legal, regulatory and institutional framework”. 

The second session featured presentations from Mr Patrick Mgbenwelu, Director and Head, Debt Solutions, FBN Merchant Bank Ltd and Engr Mohammed Barau, MD, Nigerian Gas Marketing Company and their presentations were; “Financing gas projects in Nigeria” and “Developing gas infrastructure across Nigeria” respectively. These sessions were followed by very robust interactions from stakeholders across the entire gas to power value chain including but not limited to finance institutions, government agencies,international and indigenous oil and gas companies.
