Rotimi has worked as in-house legal counsel at managerial and departmental head levels with MTN Nigeria, MTN Iran and Etisalat Nigeria (now t2 Mobile) and possesses in-depth corporate experience acquired from supporting and leading direct and cross functional teams on diverse projects including various business transformation projects. He was the lead legal resource for the negotiation and acquisition of a telecommunications license and deployment of telecoms infrastructure in the Middle East on behalf of a multinational telecommunications network operator.

He has extensive experience in the Intellectual Property, Information, Communication and Technology space and has provided and continues to provide legal advisory, regulatory advisory, compliance support, public policy advisory, stakeholder management, government relations advisory, negotiation and documentation of international commercial transactions, privacy and data protection support and strategic general advisory services to both indigenous and multinational companies including Mastercard, Facebook, Oyo State Government, Flutterwave, Interswitch and its subsidiaries, Association of Telecommunications Operators (ALTON), FTI Consulting, Netflix, Data Guidance, IHS Towers, MTN Nigeria, 9mobile, Globacom, Air Mobile, Systegra, Telairvision, Airband, Betpawa, Deltacom Group, Mobile Intelligence and so on.

Rotimi has to his credit several papers and articles and he is co-author of the 600-plus page book “Nigerian Telecommunications Law and Regulation” which has been described as the most comprehensive reference material which touches on practically every aspect of telecommunications law and regulations in Nigeria.
