Oladapo Ademola is a Partner and leads the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He completed primary and secondary education at Clifton College, Bristol, UK, and holds an LLB (Hons.) in Law from University of Warwick Coventry, UK and a Pg Dip (with Distinction) in Energy Law and Policy from University of Dundee (Centre for Energy, Petroleum & Mining Law & Policy).
He started his career with Ajumogobia & Okeke where he was a key member of the defence team for the Idoho Oil Spill litigation which involved defending ExxonMobil in multiple environmental suits across Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Rivers States, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Prior to joining Advocaat Law Practice, he was the founding partner at AOA Legal Advisers & Advocates (now merged with ALP) where he built an enviable reputation for his deep understanding of litigation procedures and represented clients on a wide range of commercial disputes cutting across company law, technology, banking, maritime, energy, intellectual property and general commercial law. He has appeared at every level of the superior courts in Nigeria including several reported and often cited cases. He has a pragmatic and commercial-reality focused approach and emphasizes strategies that work in the courtroom while advancing the commercial context of the client and minimizing expenses.
