As part of it’s efforts towards reviving the power sector in Nigeria, the Federal Government has commenced steps to revamp and restore the abandoned coal deposit in Enugu State for the purpose of generating electricity and consequently creating employment opportunities for millions of unemployed youth in the South-East geo-political zone. The FG has begun discussions with a South-Africa firm, Simang Group as it’s technical partners towards the exploitation of the coal deposits for power generation.
